Worcestershire Record Office

I received an email from the Worcestershire Record Office and the archivist informed me that Dr. Alfred William Pearson, L.R.C.P. and L.R.C.S. Edinburgh was still listed as the Medical Officer of the Kingswinford No. 3 District of Stourbridge Union in 1916, after having been appointed in 1884. So, he held this position for a very long time. His duties included surgery, public vaccination and midwifery. There blows Magpie’s theory that he was not qualified to perform surgery. He will probably still continue to argue that fact, but no amount of arguing about it makes it fact. He can argue until he is on his death bed, and it still won’t make it fact.

More to come on Pearson, as I have several researchers investigating him, including a surgeon friend.  Wink
