During my research, I have recently located the following items of interest:
The following image details the donations made to a new wing of the Birmingham General Hospital in 1859. One donation of 5 pounds, 5 shillings was made by Misters Harris and Pearson of Stourbridge. Of course, this is where Alfred trained as a medical student. From the book entitled, "History of the Free Schools, Colleges, Hospitals, and Asylums of Birmingham" page 285. Link here
