PC George Henry Hutt? More Nonsense

Posted: January 9, 2010 in Other Ripper Research
I just found a genealogical website on the internet that lists George Henry Hutt and he was born in 1862 in Birmingham, Warwickshire and his father’s name was William Hutt; not George Hutt as stated on the Casebook website. Ripperologists claim that PC George Hutt joined the city police in 1879 at the age of 17 and yet in 1881 there is no PC George Hutt to be found, and what’s more at the age of 18, after he becomes a PC, he is then working as a warehouseman in Birmingham!!!! Yet again, it’s not like you’ll ever get accurate information from the Casebook, but I just thought the contradictions regarding this officer, who was not, should be mentioned.

Here is George Henry Hutt’s 1881 Census information, and please note that he is living in Birmingham, is only 18 years of age, and not listed as a police officer at all, even though he had been a make-believe cop for the City of London for 2 years!!  Eye-rolling
